Welcome to Saint Anthony's

Welcome! St. Anthony the Great is a parish of the Orthodox Church of America in the Diocese of the South. We have worshipped in the Southtown, "La Vaca" neighborhood of San Antonio since 1982, in the beautiful and historic "Giles Church" at 103 Carolina St. Our people are mostly converts to the Orthodox faith, but we also have many parishioners from Russia and Ukraine. Please come join us in our rich liturgical worship, which is the anchor and the primary focus of our community. Our Sunday liturgy begins at 10 AM; all services are in English, and are accompanied by an acapella choir. We have groups for fellowship and multiple educational opportunities available for children and adults. We look forward to greeting you warmly as we continue to bear witness to living communion with God -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. May God bless you! ~ Fr. David Wooten, parish priest
